My 1st appointment I had the first appointment of the day. He was over an hour and a half late. I was given an afternoon follow up months later-Dr. Kalava was more than 2 hours late and when I asked when he would be in to see me he said it would be another hour because he had patients in front of me still. I would have been waiting for 4 HOURS. He didn't do any imaging and his treatment did nothing for my pain. Highly dissatisfied and I would never recommend seeing a specialist from Heywood again (the last specialist I saw from this hospital misdiagnosed me & I ended up needing surgery from a Boston surgeon!). Poor quality of care and poor respect to timeliness. Wish I could rate at half a star.
Dr. Kalava has been a great provider helping me manage SI joint related pain and piriformis dysfunction as the result of a car accident. He is very attentive to patient complaints and actually provides relief!
I've been seeing Dr Kalva for well over a year. He has helped me with my back problems ( spinal stenosis , old fractures that never held correctly, and the abuse my back took by being in the USMC. I go every 4 months or so he puts me out I wake up A little sore for a few days , but then I'm good! I have recommended him to 4 people and all have had some relief. I highly recommend him
