Quality work and they were very helpful through the process of preserving this piece.
I wasn't very pleased with my gallery wrap framing of my first wall art ever. I paid TOP dollar for a warped specimen that was also off center. No braces or supports were used. I researched online that when wrapping large canvases like mine, it is mandatory for bracing. (oil painting from China was $42.00) Wrapping was around $115.00 and is a bit flimsy.
I brought a valuable water color painting to Surroundings to be remounted to the original matting. The painting had come completely loose from its mat. Chuck quoted me a price that, quite frankly shocked me it was so reasonable. I received the quote in writing and left the painting. The next day Chuck's wife Vicki called to say that the painting was all set. When I arrived at the gallery the painting was not only perfectly remounted to it's mat, Chuck explained that once he got into the job he determined that a second mat was necessary to properly mount the painting. This second mat was not visible. I told Chuck I was willing to pay more for his added work, but he wouldn't hear of it. Chuck is not only an expert framer and excellent businessman, he is an artist who brings passion as well as competence to his work. Although I have only had one piece of art worked on by Surroundings I offer my highest recommendation and future business.
Excellent, personal service. Attention to detail and quality materials are an obvious priority seen in their work. I would drive 1000 miles to use these guy's.
