As of June 25, 2016 the engraving has been completed by the engraver.

My grandmother passed away in October 2015. We secured Mack Funeral home's services for her service and burial. My grandmother paid for all services years in advance before she passed. It is now June of 2016, and 8 months later, her gravestone has still not been engraved. My family visits her plot in the cemetery to stare at a blank gravestone. We have contacted the business multiple times but they refuse to complete the engraving. I have now contacted BBB but the way Mack Funeral Homes treat their customers, and the legacy of customers' loved ones, is despicable and shameful.

Please note that monument engraving is done by outside vendors not associated in any way with the funeral home. They are independent, and we have no control over their work schedules.

This is in response to the review written by Christopher Roberts:

As per the contract, we have been working with the monument company to have the engraving done. This death occurred in the late fall, and monument companies only engrave on location at the cemeteries from late spring to early fall in New England. After several weeks of emails back and forth with the family, the final draft for the foot stone was received and sent to the vender. The work for the foot stone was completed in the spring. There was additional engraving that was not mentioned by the family and not clearly notated on the contract that was originally omitted. When this was brought to our attention, the monument company was contacted immediately and the additional engraving was ordered. When speaking with the family regarding this second engraving request, we stated that when we heard back from the engraver, we would contact them. When this complaint was filed, we had not heard back from the engraver, (it had been about 3 weeks). After receiving a call from another family member regarding this matter, we immediately called the engraver. He stated that he was just finishing up with the winter requests and that he would get to the spring requests shortly. We asked if he could expedite this and he stated that he would do the best he could and he would contact me when it was finished. Please note that he is the one monument company in Gardner, taking care of several cemeteries and has 1 employee. He also stated that if the family had any other questions or concerns, they could talk to him directly. This information was forwarded to the family.
